Statia Breen

A Human Resources professional with a passion for the construction industry, Statia brings a unique blend of experience and expertise to talent management. Having graduated from University College Dublin in 1994 with a Degree in Occupational Safety, she worked in the construction industry in Ireland before relocating to Dubai in 2009.

With over 15 years’ experience leading Health and Safety on the front line of construction projects, Statia understands the challenges, demands and opportunities that come with this industry. Her passion for people saw her transition into Learning and Development and subsequently HR Leadership over 10 years ago. She now holds the role of Head of People and Culture with ALEC. Statia graduated with a Masters (Distinction) in Human Resources Management in 2019 from Middlesex University Dubai. She recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion; and understands that a diverse workforce is essential for the growth and success of any organisation.

Having led the establishment of the first, internationally recognized, trade development school for labors in the UAE, Statia is passionate about creating opportunities and providing challenges for employees across different verticals within the business. Outside of work Statia enjoys CrossFit, running and the occasional game of golf
