Shorouq Hamawi is Mott MacDonald’s Regional Communications and Marketing Director for the International Development, South Asia, Middle East, and Africa (ISMA) region.
With over 18 years of experience in marketing, PR and communications, Shorouq leads on all thought leadership and campaign-based marketing activities and manages the strong regional communications team speared across the ISMA region and the UK.
Shorouq holds a Master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies and has been involved in initiatives to promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace. She has also been actively promoting EDI through inclusive communications.
Before her current position, Shorouq worked at the British Embassy in Jordan as a Trade and Investment Adviser. She also managed the commercial publicity activities for the Department of International Trade at the British Embassy.
Shorouq is a member of the Dubai Businesswomen Council and a trainer with the Global Social Media Club. She was also a mentor with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, in the UK.
